Kris Keltner

Kris was an outstanding three-sport athlete in high school and a role model for her teammates and all those that followed her.  She was voted Captain by her teammates in volleyball, basketball, and softball.  She was, also, awarded 1st team all-league honors in all three sports during her career.  It was in basketball, though, where she really excelled.

She is the leading single season scorer in Lake Stevens High School history.  She is also in the top 5 in career scoring, single season rebounding, career rebounding, foul shots attempted and made, field goals attempted and made, and steals.  She was voted 1st team all-league honors her junior and senior seasons and was the league MVP her senior year.

After high school Kris played basketball and volleyball at Western Washington State University.  There she helped lead her basketball team to the National Tournament and was voted to the Little All-American team and also maintained an outstanding grade point average.  She ended her career in Western’s top 10 in several statistical categories.

Her career culminated in 1986 when she was awarded the Everett Herald Woman of the Year in Sports.
