Sue Ward is an amazing individual and one of the most dedicated employees of the Lake Stevens School District. She began working at Lake Stevens High School in 1975, and has been the “heart and soul” of LSHS athletics for several decades. As Athletic Secretary and game manager, she is the “go to” person when it comes to sports. Sue has also worked as an assistant girls’ softball coach, and has been an advisor to the LSHS Cheerleaders for many years. Going the extra mile is part of her nature. She was recently honored for her many years of helping the State Wrestling Tournaments.
I addition to her athletic positions within the school district, Sue also manages the LSHS Performing Arts Center. She schedules its events and oversees the technical side of productions.
You could say that Sue “lives and breathes” LSH. She is a very recognizable force, but is modest about her achievements and prefers to remain behind the scenes. Because of her giving attitude, Sue has been the recipient of the Lake Stevens School District “Apple Award” on several occasions.
When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and riding horses. Sue is respected and appreciated by many and LSHS is extremely fortunate to claim this special lady as one of our own!
